Better range of products than the other stores
Went today for some Christmas shopping served by store attendant Naj, I purchased my items and upon leaving I realised I had purchased the wrong item by my own mistake and went in to refund. Naj instantly knew what I was looking for and saw to getting my correct item straight away. Felt valued as a customer, Great service by Naj. Will return.
Paid over a grand on 25 Nov 2023 for stereo to be fitted. On appointed day 13 Dec 2023 dropped the car at Balcatta store. Two and a half hours later, I was phoned to be told the fascia plate ordered and supplied by Autobarn is the wrong type and there is not another one in the state (WA). Also told that if another type was ordered that may also be wrong. Unbelievable incompetence. I was fobbed off by being told this happens often.
The options provided to me were (1) wait several weeks and cross my fingers or (2) obtain a refund or (3) GO TO SOME OTHER SUPPLIER!!!! Still cant believe this is viewed as satisfactory service and this approach is acceptable by management?!!
Balcatta Store -
I found a cheaper price from another store in WA. I asked them to price match as per their price match guarantee and was told "sorry, we cant do that because the price you have found is cheaper than our cost price and that is stated in our terms and conditions".
So I looked up the terms and conditions and there was no mention of what the store representative said. I asked to speak to the manager. The manager told me the same thing. I told him, "no, you have to honour your price match guarantee"
Finally after wasting around 20minutes of my time the manager agreed and they matched the competitors price.
Its quite simple - IF YOU HAVE A PRICE MATCH GUARANTEE.....THEN HONOUR IT!!!!

Got what need, good price friendly people
I have been going to this shop for 2 years now. They have done most of the mods on my car. My auxiliary battery had an issue and they were rectifying it. They kept it for 2 whole weeks without giving me a single update as to what is wrong. I physically also went to the shop a couple of times and the person who was assessing my battery would never come out of the workshop. He would send other staff to say he is still investigating it. I requested a call back from him multiple times but never got the call. When I eventually did get through to him on the phone, he mentioned the battery is ready for pick up. I asked him if he would be there in the shop later in the day as I wanted to find out what's wrong and he assured me he will be there. When I went to collect it, he sent someone else to give me the battery with no explanation as to what went wrong with it. Every time I'd go into the shop and request to speak to him, I'd be told by the rest of the staff that he is busy and he can't come out of the workshop. I have spent a lot of money there and I did not expect that the after sales service would be like this. I understand they are busy, but not coming to speak to a customer who you've dealt with for all the mods in your car is poor. The other staff kept saying he is very busy every time I went there. I don't think that qualifies as a reason not to meet a customer especially when you've done all the work on his car. Even after collecting the battery from the other staff, I was assured he will call me. It's been two weeks now and I'm still waiting on that call. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. Will not be going back
